The carnivore is designed to hunt. Running and aggressive behavior is essential in capturing and subduing its prey which directly affects their ability to survive. The body of the carnivore is specifically built to move quickly and cover less ground with a higher level of energy expenditure. This being a fact, the carnivore looks to hunt and capture the most vulnerable of its prey. The weakest, most sickly, elderly, slow moving or young are the target of the carnivore. This is the carnivore mentality.
The omnivore on the other hand, eats plants and foliage and looks for the most beautiful of plants because this is deemed the most nutritious. The prettier the plants look or the brighter and more appealing the plants look the better for consumption in the eyes of the omnivore. The design of the omnivore is for a less aggressive amount of activity and covering a wider range of land with less energy expenditure.
The human is a combination of the two. We look for the predator with the means and technology to capture him. However, we look for the biggest, strongest and most powerful of that species for our consumption thereby leaving the gene pool of that species limited to the weak, feeble, sickly, and elderly. This breakdown of animal species sets into motion an imbalance of our ecosystem that can only be repaired by allowing the planet’s animals population to replenish it self. Fewer animal products and more frequently consumed plant based meals by all would dramatically offer a positive effect to this imbalance.
